What are the Fossils

What are the fossils?

A Fossil is any preserved remains, impressions, or trace of any once-living thing from a past geological age.
Examples: bones, shells, stone, objects preserved in amber, oil, coal, DNA remnants.

Paleontology is the study of fossils, specimens are usually considered to be fossils if they
are over 10,000years old.
Fossils vary in size from a one-micro centimeter bacteria to dinosaurs and trees.
